Shattered Minds

Shattered Minds

Navigating the expanse of my thoughts,

I perceive the contrasts with my friends.

What they regard as inconsequential, robs me of my sleep.

In their pursuit of tranquility, my anxiety keeps.

Perhaps therein lies the difference, in how we're designed,

Witnessing their mirth midst my disquieted mind.

I see them revel while I'm caught in my plight,

Pondering whether these gloomy times will take flight.

Some gaze into voids, a mirror to my soul,

Masking their sadness beneath a jovial role.

Maybe I should inquire, yet who am I to ask?

In our hearts, distinct rhythms sway, each in its own way.

With time, I've gleaned new ways to embrace life's delight,

To love myself, see the world in a different light.

Though my troubles linger, they no longer hold sway,

I observe those despondent, but who am I to convey?

Once, I too dwelled in shadows, my own inner fray,

My mental health is mine, for others, their own array.

In this tapestry of humanity, a spectrum's display,

We're all built diversely, each in our unique way.
