Shards Of Heart
Shards Of Heart
Words so sharp cuts deep into her heart
Drunk words were always sober thoughts
A hundred thousand pictures she bore
Everyone's argument she fought
Being raised by dry eyes made hers water
Though she would always blame it on the weather
One would always find her wondering
Wishing she could experience what others feel
She collected scars as a proof
Proof that she was paying for her sins
They asked "Do you feel better"
And her answer would always be no
Now in the end it wasn't just her
It was two broken souls scarred
Wounds from their own demons
And playing a game of trust and love
