Overwhelmed
Overwhelmed
She sold sunshine with her smile
Traded her own happiness for others
Brightened other's dark nights
Until she had no more light for her own self
She started hating herself
Felt like the world didn't want her
Faded into the background and cracks
Afraid of being wrong
Trauma stole her voice
Ran out of nothings
To answer all the agonizing questions
And the worried side glances that they gave her
Her body became a tune
That she'd often liked to sing
Her wrists,a violin
Using a blade she'd like to play with
She slept with soaked pillows
And had dark circles and a pained laugh
Her whole future was right ahead of her
But she was torpefied to see it
Everything was going great
Then she felt it happen all over again
Colours started vanishing out of her life
And once again she was consumed by darkness
She strived for people's validation
Their sugar coated words and fake care
When they stopped
So did her life and she
