Evanesce
Evanesce
She just loved thunderstorms
Like her even nature sometimes screamed
She cried when it rained
For it brought her peace that she wasn't alone
She never tried to heal
Because that was the only link
The link connected to life
The only thing that didn't disappear with her
She was exhausted
In dire need of peace and solitude
But every time she was alone
She'd cut a part of herself to feel complete
She was not the innocent girl she was
In her eyes one could notice the pain
The armour she had put up
To be safe from the past
Trapped in between the past and present
She wanted to hold on to the memories
The same aching memories of them
Tragically beautiful souvenir she had safekept
A dead poet of few words
They adored her works
But she wrote only when she was falling
Falling in love or falling apart
She loved her scars
For they were permanent
They were always with her
Rather like humans who constantly left her
So brave and quite
Always ready to make others happy
That's when they forgot she was suffering
But they realised it a little too late
