Reason Determines Actions

Reason should determine human actions,

Not the dogma and religious superstitions.

On a point experts all agree giving an opinion,

May be a mistake, for non-experts to accept opinions. 

It is because of unanimous experts' opinion,

As more likely to be right than the other opinion.

Einstein’s view as to the magnitude of deflection of light by gravitation,

Would have been rejected by all experts, yet it proved to be right. 

Experts agree the opposite opinion cannot be held to be certain,

No sufficient grounds for opinion exist, no own judgment has a place for the ordinary man. 

Such propositions may seem mild, yet, if accepted,

In the world, human life would be absolutely revolutionised.

The opinions for which people are fighting and persecuting,

All and all belongs to one of the three classes of scepticism.

Rational grounds for an opinion, people are content to set to operate,

People hold them calmly and set forth their reasons quietly to operate.

 

Opinions held with passion are always those for which no good ground exists,

The passion is the measure of the holder’s lack of rational conviction.

Opinions in politics and religion in the world, in human life,

Are almost always held by politicians, and religious persons passionately.

Bertrand Russell introduces & many have found a revolutionary book.

This book is called Sceptical Essays published in 1928. 

Taking as his starting point the irrationality of the world, 

Russell offers by something clearing the position, from what I understood.

 Russell guides me in philosophical issues that affect our daily lives,

 About freedom, happiness, emotions, ethics and beliefs.
