Rapunzel

Rapunzel

In a tower high, above the trees,

Lived a girl, with golden keys,

Her hair was so long, it reached the ground,

A beauty trapped, but never bound.

Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair,

The prince did call, with love and care,

And she did, with a joyful heart,

Their love, a tale, that would never part.

But wickedness came, and took her away,

A heartless witch, with a debt to pay,

Rapunzel is locked, in a far-off place,

A prisoner once more, with no escape.

Yet true love conquers, even the worst,

The prince searched long until he burst,

Into her tower, with a fierce might,

And rescued his love, from the darkest of nights.

Now Rapunzel's hair is free to flow,

Her spirit soaring, with a radiant glow,

Her prince by her side, their love to grow,

And happiness, forever to show.
