Rain

Rain

Tiny droplets fall from the sky

When it rains it seems like the clouds cry

Slowly, steadily children come out

From miles away you can hear them scream and shout

Embracing the rain like an old friend

Never wanting it to end

Children eagerly waiting to hear the melodious sound,

Of the rushing rain touching the ground

The fresh smell of the first rain

Drains all your sorrows and pain

Colorful flowers start to sprout

Watching insects crawling in and out

You can hear the leaves rustle

As though in a big hustle

The melodious sounds start getting lower

As the raindrops start getting slower

The clouds heave a huge sigh

And watch the children wave the rain goodbye.
