PROMPT-2 Me And The Alien Friend

I used to look into my windows 

every night for UFOs,

assured that aliens were

going to take me away.

I was enchanted for rainy nights,

because I knew that I would be sheltered.

In the summer I yearned for the winter months 

onwards, knowing snow would stay them away.

I would loll there perspiring, in the hot, muggy night air,

my window sealed tightly to prevent the cool,

invigorating air-

and the giants I knew were coming to get me.

I heard my momma's voice below me,

and prudently crept down the stairway,

peeked out quietly,

wanting to make sure it was actually her,

there, not an alien.

enticing me to the pits of an Unidentified Flying Object with her voice.

I didn't go outside alone,

wouldn't step away from,

all because of a 'UFO sightings book I read,

(an evidence to the things that fear does to your head).
