pretend that I don't care,

I pretend that these poetries are holding you.

I pretend that you are here with me,

I pretend that my words reach you.

I pretend that my days aren't empty,

I pretend that I am standing at the right door.

I pretend that you must be busy with something,

I pretend that I don't love you anymore.

I pretend that I am happy,

I pretend that my loneliness isn't alone.

I pretend that it's not me who is suffering so much,

I pretend that it's just my clone.

I pretend that every unknown number is of you,

I pretend that the next notification would have your name.

I pretend that you are on your way towards me, and us,

I pretend that life won't be the same.

I pretend that these nights aren't so dark,

I pretend that I am not lost.

I pretend that you would find me someday,

I pretend that if not summer, it must be another frost.

I pretend that you also love me,

I pretend that my heart is still alive.

I pretend that this soul isn't searching for you,

I pretend that I could surely survive.

I pretend that I would have your hands on my eyes in my last breath,

I pretend that these wounds would someday mend.

I pretend that my love would get its love,
