Petrichor of love
Petrichor of love
I am that soil,
I have awaited since long,
I have awaited since long
For the raindrop
To get wet in that love
That I thoroughly deserve.
And have rights on it.
I knew that she belonged to the sky,
I am the soil,
I am not a match,
But still I fell in love
And she also never said no.
Time came,
She embraced the customs of sky,
Touched the trees of traditions,
And made a home in the rose.
I remained same,
Awaiting the touch.
I question God that
Don't I deserve for even once
To become drenched in the story of her presence
And spread the petrichor of love?
