Perhaps metaphors are not just metaphors!

Perhaps metaphors are not just metaphors!

I’ve been a rather coy man - not so glittery

Of whatever good or perhaps bad, I’ve done.

I’ve been this apprehensive man – not so sure

Of where I must go. Is there even a flow?

I’ve had this faux notion wherein success

I thought was stamped on a paper!

I’ve been this ignorant man – who thought,

“I knew a lot, until I actually learnt a little!”

I’ve had this belief that the eye shows everything.

But it can only show what it can see, and

It can’t see everything - it wasn’t meant for that!

I’ve never been an overtly “ambitious” man –

I in fact, have difficulty spelling that word!

I’ve thought that it’s always a trade-off -

Between the heart and the brain!

But, I’m not perfect at calculating trade-offs –

My mathematics is weak, pretty weak …
