Some said in ice,

But my world died of betrayal,

It died drowning in the lies.


I broke apart oceans to meet you,

Ripped off countless nights,

Through my naughts & through my pain,

I still saw the hope of the dimmed lights.


My intoxication drew me near to you,

Providing me a comfortable lair,

I kept trenchantly searching for you,

But found that you weren't there...
