Paused

Today I'd like to hit the pause button

Forever stay in this stage frozen

Watching nature's beauty spread

Like a beautiful embroidered bedspread

Never will stain, never will be slept

Never will need to be changed

 

In this state I'd like to remain

Never to return to things urbane

Poised on the plateau of life

Calmness inside, away from strife

And if the hands of the clock don't wind

I'll be ready to take the last flight

 

All this seems like a dream I dreamt

Wrapped in a bubble impregnable

Cushioned in comfort unparalleled

Wish I could drop anchor here and now

But with wishes never could take liberties

Real world outside is dragging me
