Parent's House

She was full of mixed emotions,

While on the way to parent's house 

first time after her marriage.

A girl, a member of the family,

But now as a guest in the family.

She missed her room, her house, family 

But was happy in the new house, new family,

She missed that delicious breakfast, 

lunch, Cooked every day by mother,

Poured with love and care of grandmother.

she missed sour-sweet nozzle with siblings,

She missed those never ending talks with her best friend.

All those memories she had left behind,

While leaving the house after marriage.

She wanted to live, and refresh those. 

memories again, though for few days,

She wanted to cherish those moments.

She entered the house with a smiling face,

And soon filled the house with happiness,

She looked beautiful like a princess,

Wearing all her new ornaments.

All were eager to see and meet her,

She met all, she lived, she talked,

She was contented with newness

But now she was sad, as she had to leave,

And she was going to miss all again,

Everyone had tears in their eyes,

She parted with a heavy heart,

But with a promise to come again.
