A True Protector
A True Protector

You too had your dreams before marriage
You too had many expectations
But not all got fulfilled but still
Once you got married you changed
You were from a rich family
Still you happily accepted your destiny
You still had everything you wanted
Of all roles that you played in life
Honestly and with responsibility
Found yourself fortunate always
You loved to follow traditions
You loved to take equal part
In doing things and run the house
Best thing you were is as a Mother
You nurtured and nourished us
You sacrificed your resting time
When any of your child is not well
You made varieties of dishes of our choices
You waited at school doors so that we attend school
You made sure that we reach school college in time
You always prayed for your children
Fasted for them and worshipped
You took pride in us for our good marks
Our achievements and in our success
And stood behind us in our struggle
You never exp
ected anything in return
except our well-being and success
You as a mother was our true protector
A teacher a true friend and companion
Nobody could do bad to us when you were around
We failed to understand then as to how can you be so good even with those
Who were not good to you jealous about you and you taught us to be like you
Now we understand the power of being good
Many small things that we observed and learned from you
Whether it's cooking your simplicity
How you behaved and remained calm
Your quality of forgiveness your tolerance
Always kept smiling and remained positive
Your aura was remarkable
Nobody could think to do harm to us
As you were like a shield for us
A true and loving human being
And a great mother a source of our inspiration
You lived your life with grace and dignity
Never failed in doing your part of role In
our life that too with maturity and fondness.
You were a true protector of us.
