Paradise
Paradise
He was meant to love and nurture
To help and guide
But instead he hurt her
Over and over
So from him she wanted to hide forever
He sapped her strength
Scolded her at length
Didn’t defend or encourage
He always put her down just when
She found it in her to stand up
It was a struggle
To remain as she was
To use wit and shrug it off
For she was a mere muggle
She found herself oft praying
That these days would soon come to an end
For she was forever swaying
Towards despair, just when she started to mend
Her soft heart and damaged spirit
While she was still waiting and waiting
To escape from her hide hole
To be the free bird she dreams of
To sail to that faraway land
Where there was bright sun and soft sands
Where there was kindness and love
Blue sky and flying doves
And where she would rejoice in her peace forever
