Paper Planes

Paper Planes

The wind seemed too fast, the sun was too bright;

Homework seemed too hard, but summer is here, who cares, right?

I peeked through the window, red mangoes hung by branches,

Fancily, enhancing the look, of the viridescent tree arches.

So bold, like a ferocious tiger: in the woods, among the trees;

As kids swarmed the swimming pool, escaping the hot summer breeze!

I slouched by the window, however, dull and dreamy,

Fiddling with paper, oh, would someone ever free me…

How I could hover across the wide, blue yonder- The endless limits of skies,

Hoist every paper plane I’ve designed in boredom, grant them wild free lives.
