What Seedlings Really Need

What Seedlings Really Need

I moved to and fro, in a long wait,

Asking myself, “How long would it take?”

The chilli seedlings never appeared satisfied,

As they stayed unchanged, regardless of what I tried.

All my attempts were now futile,

And therefore, I decided after a while,

To have a talk with Ms Seedling,

Asking why she wasn’t growing.

“Ms. Seedling, I have been curious to know,

Why the chillies haven’t yet grown, all in a row,

Just the way I had dreamt it to be,

Could you please turn it into a reality?”

Ms. Seedling thoughtfully replied,

“Young girl, you long to see me grow vast,

But until you give me right what I’ve been needing,

Wouldn’t I remain just a seedling?”

I started wondering what less had I done,

From watering enough to giving proper sun

It continued “You consider giving me tap water

But that’s not the plants need

Adam’s ale means pure water

That’s what I demand, that’s what I need.
