Orphan Heart

Orphan Heart

In the market of love,

Most of our hearts are orphans.

Only waiting to be picked by someone,

To be loved again.

To be whole again.

Isn't it, they used to say,

Unloved hearts will wither away like

Flowers do,

In the fall.

Empty heart often beats aloud,

Too heavy to carry around.

Humming a song of their own,

They sing in our chest,

With them our Soul mourn.

Don't they know,

The importance of self-love.

Don't they teach us,

Before loving someone else,

It's the love of our Soul,

That nourishes us.

Orphan hearts won't be orphan anymore,

If we learn to adopt them first.

So they can be loved again.

So they can be whole again.
