One Reason

One Reason

We just needed one reason to be,

And you chose hundreds to leave.

How could I make you see?

When you wanted to leave before it was eve.

I prayed all night long,

To find you in my room in the morn.

Tried to stay strong,

Ever since I was born.

Again you left because it was dark,

Dark in my head and your life.

Though you left a mark,

Sometimes with a blade, other times with a knife.

Tore me apart,

Before I could stitch.

Broke my heart,

When you screamed at me at the highest pitch.
