Once Upon A Hopeless Dream
Once Upon A Hopeless Dream
There was a little girl with endless hopes and dreams
But this life was not meant for her in any way it seems
As every dream that she held was crushed each turn she took
Until she became an empty soul for which nobody cared to look
The days were long and the nights were longer in an endless cyclical torment
And her demons and ghosts that haunted her left no peace as she could not forget
She prayed down on her knees pleading for some release
But on her cut knees in the dirt she remained never finding any such peace
She knew of love that love she held but love she never received
So undeserved of any kindness as to be loved she could not believe
And soon it came the day when she stopped praying for liberty
As her harsh reality of hell in life left hopelessness from which she could never be free
