I Lose
I Lose
I still remember,
First week of college,
People doing all they could,
To make friends.
I sat in a corner,
Only one caught my eye,
He being different from all the rest,
Came and started the conversation with a ‘hi’,
Days went; but I never found anyone so dear,
From a place so far,
Yet he felt so near.
Then one day,
We confessed our love,
Decided to start a new chapter,
But little did I know; it was never going to be a happily ever after.
I did
all I could to make him happy,
For he was my first love,
Just to be ignored everytime,
And feel hurt.
The time had come,
My patience reached its peak,
Perhaps I would just remain a chapter,
Which he would never read.
In the end,
The girl who never believed in love,
Once again lost,
Lost to the destructive power of love,
Lost to her own soul,
She calmed herself with words she would call as excuse,
But all she could say to her self in the end was,
I LOSE.
