Closures
Closures
Have you ever noticed
how people slowly and gradually
stop talking about someone
dear to them post their death?
Have you noticed
how everything only holds
the shadow of deceased,
collapses to mere clouds of dust?
Have you noticed
how people stop mentioning
about them in their thoughts,
and carry out on their lives?
Have you noticed
how their memories limit
to the only family get together
or social gatherings?
Have you noticed
how we chase the reflection,
of them in emotional film scenes
or tragic dramas?
I have noticed
because I could not get over them.
I could not get over the feeling of guilt,
when I had said all those hurtful words,
but could no snatch a chance to say sorry.
I never got a chance to say
how much they mean to me,
how much I miss them,
How many strings are attached,
and lastly because
I could never say them goodbye.
Goodbyes are difficult but
Closures are important,
rather than hanging on one tiny finger,
it is better to let it go
once and for all.
