On ‘Wuthering Heights’

Moors whisper a story of love

Wild moors love the wild winds

Fierce lover of the self-willed

Obsessed, ruthless lover

Also the unselfish, civilized one

‘Tis love for love’s sake!

Who decides righteousness?

Of one and designs of the other?

A triangle of passionate love

Warped and brutal love

At loggerheads now with

Human yet gentle love

Self-willed devastation of living

Unrequited love, unworthy means

Saga of Vengeance, of failings

Death keeps the lovers further apart

When Laid to rest in the dust

the twin souls, now lost

Though the gentle breeze

When ain’t ‘Wuthering ‘

Seldom softly whispers

A Frosty plea of sorts.

Quote :

“If all else perished, and he remained, I should still continue to be; and if all else remained, and he were annihilated, the universe would turn to a mighty stranger.”
