On MARS
On MARS
Of a dream of night I need to tell,
In an environment of cloud and smoke, to Mars, I set sail,
I don't know for how many hours I was in a state of suspended animation,
From the top, all countries looked like dots, even my own nation!
It was a crash landing and my spaceship window gave a view of a rocky terrain,
No sign of water, no sign of rain,
I made up my mind to explore,
Just my voice reverberated as I wanted to see more,
I came near a gigantic volcano,
Dormant now , but ready to erupt soon,
Where should I run for shelter, for protection and warmth?
I was all alone on the rocky planet with nobody to call my own,
I saw minerals too, I saw gold,
Suddenly I felt rich in self-congratulation,
A wind came from north, and my spaceship was shred to pieces,
I cried, I yelled and wanted to return to my masses,
From behind, someone so sweetly called my name,
Reassured of a companion I turned around,
My mother was assuring me, with a pleasant smile,
I woke up in the middle of the night, realizing I had dreamt all the while!
