New year has arrived, Another year begins, but what's different? 

The calendar flips, but I find myself trapped in the same old shadows of despair

The date changes, but the hopelessness in me remains same

I find myself in a ship without map, lost in a vast sea of my own thoughts

Painting a smile on my face, while can't find a single reason to keep it there.

Navigating life concealing the void within, with sadness as constant companion

Planting garden of dreams, where flowers never bloom

Hoping for a change, being caught in the storm of disappointment

Searching for a ray of light in a darkness that won't fade

Another year unfolds leaving a message that change in the date won't change the emptiness within.
