New Year Promies
New Year Promies
At midnight’s chime, when hopes awake,
We whisper vows our hearts will make.
To rise with dawn, to heal, to try,
To let old fears learn how to die.
We promise time for dreams long due,
For kinder words, for skies more blue.
To mend what broke, forgive the past,
And walk—though slow—yet hold on fast.
Not vows of stone that never bend,
But gentle steps we’ll still defend.
If one day falls, we start anew,
For promises are paths we choose.
So here’s to faith that softly grows,
Through quiet acts the future knows.
A year not perfect, just sincere,
Kept promise by promise, day by year.
