New Era

The year 2020 gave trouble plenty  

Many dreams shattered many lives battered 

A virus ticked off a pandemic that was beyond any academic.

Young and old alike thought about life with dislike.   

The year saw many stalwarts passing away giving a lesson to all right away.

Doctors, police, and health workers worked hard beyond hours.

Masks and gloves became a necessity to avoid proximity.                      

Nature taught us a subtle lesson that we have to nurture nature in total.

Pandemics may come and go but the human spirit is always on the go.                         

The year 2021 is here ushering in a new era to near and dear.

So let us welcome this year with all hopes and aspirations and strive to make it best with all inspiration.
