My Moon Has Many Faces
My Moon Has Many Faces
As darkness fell when the night came by,
My radiant moon shone;
Amongst the stars in the velvet sky,
My moon stood all alone.
Indeed 'twas a splendid sight
The kiss under a full moon night,
Then merrily together we rode
Along the silver shining road;
Intense passion filling the air
Without a window for despair,
Then we danced and swayed together
Wishing the moment to last forever.
Seeing the stars twinkling with joy,
Little did I know of nature's ploy;
My moon can't help but go away
Never was there a promise to stay.
Destined to finally grow apart,
Pulled down with a heavy heart;
I let go all the warm embraces,
As I learn my moon has many faces.
