MY FRIEND

MY FRIEND

Came from different pods,

I’m even, you’re odd.

My senses breathe on the coffee table.

Your instincts are based on the red label.

Like a tornado, we danced in our messy circles,

Any secret friendship between the rabbit & turtle?

Speaking of friends, I lost many.

Wanted the best one out of any.

Surprisingly, that day I found two.

But you said first, ‘I lost my shoe.’

You knew my feelings for Sam & Dean.

Ditched the red flag; you were the green.

So, I love you more despite your chaos.

Friendship always wins after an epic loss.

I wasn’t a shallow person, but little understood.

Only if anybody had a friend like mine, touchwood.

So, I would raise a toast for complex friendship.

‘Let’s find reasons where hard promises are to keep.’
