My Experiments With Grass
My Experiments With Grass
The grass looked greener
On the other side
So I went to the other side
To feel satisfied
But guess what happened!
Now the grass on the other side
The side, I just came from!
Looked greener.
I was helpless and confused
I didn't quite understand
The paradox I was in.
So I carried on with my experiment
And covered the whole garden.
I stood on every side
And noted down my observations
To come to a conclusion.
Yes! Yes!
The grass on the other side was greener
Every single time.
But
I was confused yet again now
What could have I done
With this conclusion and confusion
Feeling purposeless
I was about to leave for home.
Right then
I saw the gardener
Enter the garden
I went up to him
And showed him the results
Of my experiment.
Judging by the look on his face
He was greatly impressed
He said,
"Mr. Observer
Let me tell you
I can relate very well
To what you've concluded
But there's a slight flaw
Seems to me there's one observation
Which you haven't included".
Concerned, with a frown on my face,
I said,
"And what flaw might that be, Mr. Gardener?"
Mr. Gardener said,
"I see something
Which you could not have seen
A patch of grass
Which was always sparkling and always green.
Now, remember always, Mr. Observer,
What I'm going to tell you,
The grass looks fresh and gorgeous and green
On your side too."
