My Bitter Symphony

My Bitter Symphony

Clutched in the arms of pain,

I gave in to the temptation

I chose the easy way out,

This path of oblivion.

I made a deal with the devil,

Sold my soul to evil,

My heart is black now,

Blacker than the darkest of skies,

I choose to be quiet,

Ignorant to the sound of their cries,

And when the screams grow loud,

I sing and hum till the voices drown,

They say, what do you know of pain, hurt or agony,

I smile in answer and hum my bitter symphony.
