My Beloved Bird

God had given you the wings to fly!

 But you had chosen a nest on earth.

You had no want, 

Nor did you feel any dearth. 

You made everyone happy 

With thy soothing feathery touch.

You gave all whatever you had.

But you never took too much. 

You got everything that a bird can dream.

Still what made you lost in the morning sunbeam?
