Morning Bliss

Morning Bliss

I woke up early today

A bit too early perhaps

Not before dawn though

But well before sunrise for sure

The morning twilight embracing

The world asleep but still alive

I sat and stared

My garden run amok

By squirrels, coucals and sparrows

So carefree and wild

The sunrays filtered by them trees

Turning my skin lighter than usual

Is this bliss?

I thought to myself.
