Mirage In Autumn
Mirage In Autumn
Autumn was the season,
I was joyous for one pretty reason.
The mother Goddess would be in soon
I would enjoy the day, night, and noon.
Cottony white clouds flew
Sirius Nimbus to name a few
The aroma of night Jasmine all around
Someone's breeze gave me a surround
I saw her coming down the lane,
From a distance, her face seemed faint
As she came closer by,
Felt like butterflies started to fly.
Draped was she in a white saree,
Had red border, with embroidered gold zari,
Her long hair tied tightly into a bun,
Her face glazed brighter than the sun.
Golden ornaments raised her charm,
A small vermilion bindi made her calm,
Had her eyes smeared with soot,
All of it was far too good.
Lips were nude
Just a smear of maroon,
She came to me,
I wasn't in myself, I tried to be me.
I raised my hand to touch her eyes,
Saw a smoke fill the blue sky,
Her heat resembled the tropics,
My chilly hands could not bear such a topic!
A pat on my back
And she was all gone,
I was amongst a crowd
All by myself, left all alone.
An elderly lady
Gave me her blessings,
Asked me, "Where were you lost?"
I replied, "Into a day, that's gone for a toss..."
