Mile Long Smile
Mile Long Smile
I am a frequent flyer
Member of the miles program.
Airport hopper, sometimes take a chopper.
Trekked the distant mountains
Skied along the cold snow.
Swam across the flooding rivers
Rested by the verdant meadows.
Ate the fruit of my labor
Refreshed and set again to go.
Scorched in the simmering desert
Saved by the oasis, dates to remember.
Traveled by the train when it rained
In the rickety bus to the town familiar .
Trudged along the singular path
With only one thing in my mind.
Here I am knocking at your doors
Just to see your mile long smile.
