Midnight Calling

Midnight Calling

1 min
162

Struck to 12

My clock looked at me

Sleep, dear child

Stop the thoughts spree.

At 1 my clock asked

Looking at my tear

Why drenching your pillow

Throat stuck by an emotional spear.

At 2 my clock peeped

At my thoughtless actions

Wondering about my qualm

Mind draining into fractions.

At 3 my clock sighed

Oh the demon's time

With my eyes red and wide open

My lips loving in rhyme

At 4 my clock crooked

Asking me to sleep

Begging me to clear my dilemma

And thoughts away to keep.

At 5 my clock shouted

The sun to be up soon

The light coming to cover

The dark night moon.

At 6 my clock relaxed

Watching me dozing

Looking at my sleeping face

No more thoughts crossing

As soon as it was 7

My clock broke into alarm

Waking me to start my day

Taking away my midnight charm.
