Maze Runners

Maze Runners

Reasonless emotions crash all my plans,

Smash the smooth course,

Drag me into a devil’s trap,

Drive me to nuts.

Blinded to the fluttering butterflies,

Made lifetime decisions like a child’s play,

Only time can reveal where they lead -

Faking my emotions doesn’t feel right

Though they rationally make no sense

The only rein I have a hold is

I see to that no other life gets entangled

Due to my clumsy choices...

For my every insane decision,

There lies a reason at the end of my maze;

Or I believe so and that keeps me going.

Until then, nothing is defined or deciphered.

As everyone runs a unique maze,

There are no instructions or checklist;

Many choose to play safe:

With conscious schemes and social norms;

A very few choose to jump before thinking:

With the whimsical drive of the gut.

Though all believe that their choices are best,

No one has a proven smooth route map!
