Masked warriors put the task of repair

Fear of the unpredictable gripped even the optimist

The brouhaha of the vaccine efficacy shut the pessimist

The life-saving vaccine cost billions

The huge respite it did provide to millions

Just when we begin to sigh with relief

A new wave shakes up this belief

Masked warriors are summoned again

To heal the trauma and the pain

Aching feet, tired eyes and back so sore

Up every day for happiness and life to restore
