You sang to me in the dreaded night,

Stretched your hand to my head in utter plight.

Your caressing touch I can't deny,

Shall be for life my lullaby.

When the sun shone, it was night all the more,

When the English men shook me to core.

Amidst the evil wind, your sighs that passed by,

I go down through my memories in store,

I see you wish for me bliss galore.

Your mere stroke on every sty,

The other day, they called upon thy carcass to bemoan,

Mother I was busy turning every possible stone.

The mourns caused by that English spy,
