My Artsy Self

My Artsy Self

Shhh!!!! No decipherable sound. Pin drop silence,

Maybe the only thing that should absolutely make sense.

As long as the day’s long,

Should I be sure, should I be strong.

I see, I see, I see and I see,

Maybe asking a question with all the apparent glee.

“Where do you end?”

“Just as soon as you don’t pretend,

Pretend to be someone you are not.

Just be the one of your own sort. “

As long as the month’s long,

Should I be sure, should I be strong.

I see, I see, I see and I see,

Only asking what I really really should be.

“Who am I?”

“An innocent smile behind the sly.

Definitely not the person you daily meet,

Perhaps someone you often forget to greet.”

As long as the year’s long,

Should I be sure, should I be strong.

I see, I see, I see and I see,

Definitely wanting to know if the outgrown self was really really me.

“Was I really so years ago?”

“Certainly, tales of past, unfailingly, follow.

Though, it’s definitely not the past sorrow,

that can ever hinder your vigour for tomorrow.”

As long as my life’s long,

Should I be sure, should I be strong.

I see, I see, I see and I see,

Happily unaware of the roots of the infinitely grand memory tree.

“When did life really take place?”

“Right when you were planning of it. All in a haste.

I, life, don’t happen to people, who care about others feathers,

But, to the ones who spend time embellishing his own heather.

As long as life’s long,

Should I be sure, should I be strong,

I see, I see, I see and I see,

And wonder when I did turn into a person so very artsy.
