 A seraphic refuge, a secret potion

Or a silent spell that revivifies!

 

Is it sweet nectar or a magic wand

For despite the tears and the sighs-

A Divine decree of unwritten rules

Love is the elixir of life

 

Or

Like pain at birthing but bliss that follows

Into happy, holy, cherubic smiles;

The tomb of lovers as if split open,

 Given re-birth by the Master of the skies;

 

 Divine love enveloped in human form!

Their life’s script written in sacred signs;

 

Their heart and sinews made of gold,

Love knows some alchemy of a kind!"
