Love Thy Freedom Understand
Love Thy Freedom Understand
When the celebration started at midnight,
Amidst the crowd there was no caste or religion,
What a colourful sight,
For on that day every person was an Indian.
There were tears of joy tears of sadness,
There were greetings and wishes all around,
There was laughter happiness and madness,
For every one was with each other bound.
The occasion was euphoric magnetic.
There was a relief on everyone's face, for freedom was ultimate.
The atmosphere was hypnotic.
That moment in time people became intimate.
Everyone became a soul mate.
Linked by freedom, linked by common fate.
So let us relive those past days,
Let us value the meaning of freedom.
In our mind, day of freedom, always stays,
Collectively let us all together take a bow.
