Lord Jagannath
Lord Jagannath
Oh!
The Lord of the world,
Lord Jagannath,
I can't go
To your perennial home,
I can't witness you,
I can't pull your chariot.
Restrictions restrict me
Like the way
You have
restricted yourself,
Maybe
you are indignant
with
the inhuman activities
of the world.
Reticent you are,
still you sit
and observe
the world's
ingenuine things
from your chariot.
Counting
sins of the world,
when you play
your flute silently,
I listen to your croon,
But
Oh!
My omniscient God,
I can't go to meet you.
How
can I allow myself,
I am not pure,
I am not immaculate,
I can't
leave hatred,
I can't
leave my ostentation?
Yes,
Oh! My Lord,
I solicit You
to forgive
all the sinners
if
they deserve impunity
from your conscience,
punish those
who can't be forgiven.
Yes,
Oh! My Lord,
you see everybody
from your chariot,
you point out
everything
to your Brother Balabhadra
And sister Subhadra,
please see me,
I can't come
for Ratha Yatra,
I can't come
for your car festival,
yes,
I genuflect to you,
Oh! The omniscient
from my place.
Yes,
I genuflect to you
Oh! The omnipotent,
Please
do visit to my sleeping eyes,
My open
and sinful eyes
are not
at all eligible
to witness you.
