LONELINESS

When I sip my cup of tea,

My family I feel and see.

Sitting on the table alone,

I think how the time has flown.

It was as if some years ago,

My family was together you know.

Happy and cheerful was life,

For anything I had not to strive.

From breakfast to late night dinner,

My recipes always made me a winner. 

That togetherness and happiness, 

Has been replaced by loneliness. 

Today for higher education, 

Children are going outstation.

Attractive salaries and clean environment, 

Everything they want for a secure retirement. 

Various facilities given by the government, 

All are using this to prove their talent. 

Multiple gadgets make their future easy, 

But leaving their old parents a bit crazy. 

This loneliness many of us have to face, 

Greet it joyfully with a grace. 

Be happy and enjoy every moment, 

Even in broken pieces you will find enjoyment.
