Like Fireworks

Your love is just a burden, 

Your kindness stabs my conscience. 

Your smile shakes my heart, 

And I don't like this emotion. 

Your gratitude is misplaced, 

I used you for my sake. 

And even though you grew attached, 

This is but a firework relationship. 

Our brightest moments are now, 

Consumed in yawning darkness.
