Last Wam Winter

She said "We'll meet tomorrow"

And I don't know if I should laugh or cry,

Scream or sigh,

'Tomorrow'

Something I know I don't have,

She waved her hand at me motioning she was leaving,

Her loose hair was dancing over her shoulders,

At that very moment,

Something strikes my mind,

That I am never going to see that again,

I won't get to smell them,

I won't get to feel them,

I just wished I had a little more time,

A few days more or a few weeks more,

Right now, at this point, nothing feels enough,

Neither a day nor a year.

I let my eyes roam over her face

Until they met with her own,

Those eyes had given me a new perspective to see the world,

Those eyes which always gazed at me with profound love,

Those eyes made me desperate to tell her everything,

Made me desperate to let go of everything I was holding in...

So I did, maybe because

I don't want her to hate me the next morning

Or maybe because I want her to stay the night.

I freed her from the mirage of happiness,

I caged her in,

It had to melt away anyway...

I hope she flies this time,

But who I was kidding,

I've known her enough to know

That she'll come back again,

But not to me, never again.
