Lakhnaur To Kiratpur

At Lakhnaur Prince Gobind played with friends

Game of sticks and ball in vast open fields

Uncle Kirpal  coached him in riding in the weald

Then one day the message  reached them 

Ninth Guru wanted them back at Chak Nanki

Named after the mother of Guru Teg Bahadur

People of Lakhnaur were feeling sad at 

Knowing about the departure of these guests

For staying longer they were making requests

Mother Nanki told them that they were not 

Going very far but only to a nearby place

And would visit again at some future date

Family of Guru Teg Bahadur bade farewell

To all dear friends and relatives at Lakhnaur

With pleasant memories of two month's dwell

From Lakhnaur they reached Kiratpur

Via Majri and Ropar. Along the way

People came to see them, all happy and gay

Suraj Mal was mother Nanki's stepson

They put up at his place for days two

Uncle to Prince, on their visit, was happy too.
