Introverted Vibes

We aren't born that way,

no, we aren't.

It could be

the direction of moons

or some unheard feelings

maybe even a suppressed silence.

You need to be taught

how an introvert thinks

how the feelings,

they're not twisted

but introverted enough.

An introvert might learn

to be an ambivert

they could share laughs,

maybe even an extrovert

place their trust in you,

but could never

unlearn introvertism,

no, we could never. 

I often wonder,

what does it take,

to open up, is the

quotient of courage lacking

mind you, not the strength,

which leads me to believe

that strength and courage

are different, aren't they?

They keep rephrasing,

hoping, to send the message

in the best way possible,

and so they rely on

language and grammar,

sometimes even memes

for they aren't well versed

with depicting emotions. 

No matter the trust,

no matter the closeness,

Introverts will remain

the most open

with themselves. 

They won't say it out loud,

no we won't,

they will drop subtle hints

sometimes, if you're special

 we would even step out

of our comfort zone,

and never regret. 

Then the ball

is in your court,

it's up to you

to take it or leave it,

we still won't. 

Introverts don't do regret.
