Mirror mirror on the wall
Who's the meanest of them all?
Is it the priest of the temple,
Where I am refused when I bleed
While he worships a statue akin to my seed?
Is it the man of my dreams,
Who lusts for my body
And rapes my soul?
Is it my own mother,
Who wants me to please my husband
While she shuns me for bearing another burden?
Or is it the society,
Who marks me as dowry
While judging me on my saree?
Mirror mirror on the wall,
Who's the meanest of them all?
